Werner Hendrickson Landscape Architecture is a collaboration between Elizabeth Hendrickson and Joseph Werner. Together, they strive to help their clients create meaningful outdoor spaces through a sensitive and responsive approach to landscape design. They believe that a successful garden is the result of the combination of artistic expression and the application of technical expertise. Lifelong admirers of growing things, Werner and Hendrickson have a passion for horticulture which they imbue in all of their work.
With 25 years of collective experience in the field of residential landscape architecture, they have enjoyed working on a variety of projects - from New England to California, the Southeastern United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. Holding licensure in several states between them, they have contributed to award-winning projects receiving recognition by various chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, C&G Innovation in Design Awards, and Veranda’s Best of Outdoor Living. Both Elizabeth and Joseph have been named winners of New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 Award.
Working closely with their clients and professionals such as architects, interior designers, engineers, and craftspeople, Werner and Hendrickson believe in the alliance of varied disciplines. They work on a range of project types and scales - from historic renovations to new construction, from contemporary residences to traditional estates. While they understand that a landscape must meet certain practical needs, they resolve to create gardens which speak to the character and emotions of those who will enjoy them from one generation to the next.
