Tudor Revival

An elegant stone cottage rests on the waterfront of Larchmont Harbor, its black, diamond-lattice windows overlooking a verdant front garden in layers of green and white. Boston Ivy works its way around a delicate trim of thin-cut brick, slowly climbing a triple-flue chimney stack. In response to a somewhat contemporary addition at the back of the home, the rear garden demonstrates a clear shift in tone which complements new language introduced by the architecture. The elevated outdoor kitchen and dining terrace look out on a vibrant palette of plants beloved by pollinators. Garden critters and bees explore the roses, asclepias, spirea, and nepeta, while honeysuckle twines its way over the sea wall. Small boats pass silently in and out of the harbor, an occasional deep horn reverberating over the water from a ship far out in the Sound.
